Here I go again with another TBR video! I filmed this at the start of the month. How am I doing? Well, I’m looking forward to the bank holiday weekend, that’s for sure…

Books mentioned:
First Class Murder, by Robin Stevens
My favourite Wells and Wong murder mystery yet! The third in the Murder Most Unladylike series, this follows Daisy and Hazel as they try to solve a mystery – and avoid the watchful eye of Hazel’s father – on the Orient Express. The claustrophobic atmosphere and decadent glamour makes for a very exciting backdrop to the drama.
The Blind Assassin, by Margaret Atwood
This is the second novel that I’ve read by Margaret Atwood and I can’t say I enjoyed it any more than the first, which was The Handmaid’s Tale. I’m not sure what it is about her writing, but I just don’t seem to get drawn into it. I think I’ll give one more of her books a go and if I don’t like it any better, I’ll donate the others on my TBR. I did like this one, but it seemed far too drawn out and I guessed the twist very early on, which didn’t help me feel driven to keep reading.
Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda, by Becky Albertalli
This book is a delight – a quick read full of endearing characters. I can’t wait to see the film adaptation, Love, Simon.
The Belles, by Dhonielle Clayton
Ahhh I need the sequel! This book depicts a world that is gorgeous on the surface and rotting at its core, and I’m desperate to learn more about how everything works and to see what Camellia Beauregard and her sisters do next.
Tigers in Red Weather, by Liza Klaussmann
I enjoyed this book and didn’t find it hard to keep reading but in the end I wasn’t sure what it was trying to say about its characters and their world, which left me unsatisfied.
