Classics Challenge
Last year I only managed three books for this challenge but this year I am determined to do better! To make it so, I’m going to post a video every month on my YouTube channel about the challenge – that will mean I’ll need to be at least partway through a classic book every time! If you want to join me you can sign up for this challenge here, at Pretty Books.
So far, for this challenge, I have read:
1. The Pursuit of Love and Love in a Cold Climate, by Nancy Mitford
2. Claudine at School, by Colette
3. Fifteen, by Beverley Clearly
4. What Katy Did, by Susan Coolidge
British Books Challenge
I did really well at this challenge last year, I read 24 books, which is double the amount required. I really loved reading all those books and would recommend it to anyone – you can read any kind of book, as long as it’s British. Sign up here. I will continue to keep count of my British books in my monthly wrap-up videos on my YouTube channel.
So far, for this challenge, I have read:
1. The Pursuit of Love and Love in a Cold Climate, by Nancy Mitford
5. Girl Out of Water, by Nat Luurtsema

7. Rebel of the Sands, by Alwyn Hamilton
8. The Next Together, by Lauren James

15. The Uncommon Reader, by Alan Bennett
Retelling Challenge
I’m also going to have a go at the Retelling Challenge again – I have plenty of fairytale and other retellings on my TBR, hopefully I’ll actually read one this time! If you want to join me, sign up here.
So far, for this challenge, I have read:
1. Poison, by Sarah Pinborough
TBR Pile Reading Challenge
My TBR is a state. I keep acquiring more books so I need to make an effort at reading them. I have limited space for book storage and once I’ve read a book, more often than not I won’t keep it, so reading = space for more books! I think I’ve done this challenge before and it’s time to sign up again! I’m aiming for 31-40, Sweet Summer Fling.
So far, for this challenge, I have read:
1. The Dark Days Club, by Alison Goodman
2. The Pursuit of Love and Love in a Cold Climate, by Nancy Mitford
3. Misguided Angel, by Melissa de la Cruz
4. Cross My Heart and Hope to Spy, by Ally Carter
5. Only Ever Yours, by Louise O’Neill
6. Don’t Judge a Girl by Her Cover, by Ally Carter
7. This Song Will Save Your Life, by Leila Sales
8. My Secret Rockstar Boyfriend, by Eleanor Wood
9. Claudine at School, by Colette
10. Sorcerer to the Crown, by Zen Cho
11. The Next Together, by Lauren James
Bardathon Challenge
Earlier today I was tweeting about reading challenges that sounded fab but that I didn’t think I had time to do, and I talked myself into this one (after a bit of ‘To join, or not to join’, natch). Fail. I’m going for ‘Mix-and-match Shakespearean’, as it’s the least constricting and the most realistic for me! The categories are fantastic and it’s not all about reading, so I suggest you take a look and be tempted into signing up!
Challenge Challenge
Yes, someone made a meta challenge. I have five challenges above so I’m going for ‘Cinco de Challenge-o’.
TBR Triple Dog Dare
I do this every year and this is the final dare so of course I had to take part! This means that I can only read books on my TBR that I owned before 1 January 2016 until 1 April 2016. It’s a great way to force yourself to read books you already have, and to avoid getting distracted by the new and shinies! Join me. I triple dog dare you.
